American Association of Grant Professionals

A nonprofit membership association that builds and supports an international community of grant professionals committed to serving the greater public good by practicing the highest ethical and professional standards. To achieve this mission, AAGP: Serves as a leading authority and resource for the practice of grantsmanship in all sectors of the field; advances the field by promoting professional growth and development; enhances the public image and recognition of the profession within the greater philanthropic, public, and private funding communities; promotes positive relationships between grant professionals and their stakeholders.

American Grant Writers Association

American Grant Writers Association was organized as a professional membership organization in 2001.  American Grant Writers Association, a professional association, seeks to enhance the community of grantseekers professional standards and ethical practices through education, certification, professional growth and advocacy.

Association of Fundraising Professionals

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is the professional association of individuals responsible for generating philanthropic support for a wide variety of nonprofit, charitable organizations. Founded in 1960, AFP (formerly the National Society of Fund Raising Executives) advances philanthropy through its more than 26,000 members in 172 chapters throughout the world.

Greater Kansas City Council on Philanthropy

The Council promotes inclusive membership of all those involved in philanthropy. The Council presents forums for the exchange of information and ideas; fosters innovation in programs and service; provides critical resources for training, communications and research; encourages and recognizes charitable giving. Serves as the voice of philanthropy in the Kansas City region.

Kansas Nonprofit Association

This organization provides training on fundraising and grant writing for its members, as well as nonmembers. Full information on registration is available online. This organization publishes the Directory of Kansas Foundations, and provides very good quick information online under its FAQ section

National Grants Management Association

The National Grants Management Association (NGMA) is an individual membership organization made up of roughly 600 grants management professionals. Its core purpose is to strengthen the relationship between grant-making agencies and grant recipients. Members are responsible for the management of billions of dollars in Federal grants and rely on NGMA to provide valuable grants management information on highly complex issues ranging from the regulatory environment, grant budgeting and financial management, cash management, intellectual property, ethics and conflicts of interest. As changes are continually occurring in the business of grants, NGMA and its members seek to increase grants management efficiency by sharing experiences and expertise, networking among colleagues, and encouraging solutions among members.
