Johnson County Government proactively pursues grant funding from a variety of federal, state, and foundation sources as part of a mixed-funding approach to support County programs and operations that serve the public.

The Budget and Financial Planning Department’s Grants Management Division, supports County departments in their efforts to identify, secure, and manage grant funding from a number of funding sources. Services to departments range from pre-award funding research, planning, application development, and application review through post-award management of grants.

The Grants Management Division also works closely with the Budget Department, County Manager’s Office, and Board of County Commissioners to address the areas of federal, state, and foundation funding and the impacts of this funding to County Government as a whole.

Grants can serve as an opportunity for building bridges and developing creative collaborations that yield benefits for all parties involved. Toward this end, the Grants Management Division seeks to foster win-win partnership opportunities with the County’s broad nonprofit community. 501 c nonprofit organizations located within Johnson County have access to both eCivis Grants Locator and the Johnson County Grants Resource Center through the Division’s outreach and partnership building initiative.

Our Mission: To support Johnson County Government in its efforts to effectively identify, secure, and manage grant funding from federal, state, and foundation funding sources.
