
Overview
Finding the right grant for the right project, from among hundreds of federal programs and thousands of foundations, has traditionally been a complicated and time-consuming process. This process can also be expensive in terms of the amount of personnel time required to find competitive-based grants.
The Budget and Financial Planning Department's Grants Management Division works with County departments, and 501c nonprofit organizations within Johnson County, to increase their capacity to locate and acquire competitive grants from federal and foundation sources in an efficient and effective manner.
Towards this goal, the County’s Budget and Financial Planning Department has signed an agreement with eCivis to put the company’s state-of-the-art Grants Locator into the hands of County departments and 501c nonprofit organizations that reside within the boundaries of Johnson County.
